Dimity-Lee Duke is a professional female triathlete. Originally from Australia, she is based in Phuket, Thailand, for the majority of the year where she embraces the opportunity to train in a wonderful destination all year round, as well as travel to races all over the world. Unusually, Dimity has proven prowess across the Olympic, 70.30 and Ironman triathlon distances, both on road and offroad courses.
Athletic Career and Achievements
Dimity's triathlon journey began over a decade ago whilst employed as a nurse for the fly-in-fly-out mining industry in remote Western Australia. Despite the struggle to train around the changing schedule and demanding locations of this job, she succeeded in an impressive series of finishes and podiums across 70.3, Ironman and and Xterra events, including fourth in her age group at the 2013 Ironman World Championship in Kona. With an eye on pursuing her potential, Dimity turned pro in 2015.
Fast forward ten years and Dimity continues to finish at the top of the elite field across multiple triathlon distances. In 2024 she won Weihei Xtreme Triathlon in back to back years, breaking the course record; finished in 9 hours 6 minutes at Challenge Roth in cold conditions; and 6th at Ironman Malaysia.
Dimity's fire is stoked for 2026. She's training for Xterra Offroad Traithlon World Cup races in Australia, Borneo and China; gravel events such as the Seven UCI Gravel qualifier in Nannup, Australian Gravel Nationals, UCI Gravel World Championships; as well as the Cape to Cape Mountain Bike race.
Recent Results: Toeing the start line at back to back events, sometimes in different countries, is common for Dimity. For instance, her 2026 season kicked off with top ten finishes in the Trail Half Marathon and Full Triathlon at the Xterra Asia Pacific Championship over the same weekend.
Coaching and Community: Lifting communities is core to Dimity's values. Alongside a 25-30 hour training week, Dimity coaches the Z-Coaching group and private clients, as well as provides Precision Hydration sweat testing and nutrition consultation services. Sharing her knowledge from a career as an elite athlete in multiple sports with likeminded athletes is important to Dimity. She readily speaks to schools, podcasters such as Bob Babbitt and informally to individuals. She is also Chairperson of the Z-Coaching Foundation which helps enable and develop talented youth athletes in South-East Asia to reach their triathlon goals and provide life skills inside and outside sport.
Ranking: Dimity finished the Ironman 2024 season at #145.
Sport Background: Competing in elite sport is not new to Dimity. Before representing Australia at an elite level in endurance sport, she also competed at an elite level in basketball and offroad motorcycle racing (MX and Enduro).
Association: Dimity trains under Jurgen Zack and his squad Z-Coaching.
