Olivia Dietzel is a professional triathlete and endurance coach from Dickeyville, WI, USA. Cast aside by high school coaches, she didn't pursue college sport and became an engineer. Olivia is propelled to perform and raise money for brain cancer to honour her late father who died from the disease and never ceased to believe in her when others did. Since turning pro in 2024, Olivia has stacked up an impressive list of Ironman and extreme triathlon finishes.
In the past few years, she has started to race extreme triathlons - they have quickly stolen her heart. Olivia is now focusing on becoming the first US pro triathlete (man or woman) to specialise in extreme triathlon.
Athletic Career and Achievements
Recent results: 2025 was packed with international Ironman events where Olivia was a multi-time top 10 and podium finisher. She has kicked of her 2026 season with a podium at IRONMAN 70.3 Punta del Este.
Ranking: 2024 Ironman pro ranking #61.
Coaching and Community: When Olivia's father died in 2020 she decided to dedicate her training and racing to him, as well as raising money and awareness for brain cancer through her Mind Over Matter fundraisers. Olivia also founded/coach a high school and youth triathlon team.
Sport backgroud: Unusual for a pro athlete, Olivia has no college sports background because her high school track coach told her she "wasn’t worth investing in". However, Olivia's father was her biggest fan, believing in her when no one else did, so she completed her first Ironman as a fundraiser for brain cancer in honour of him in 2019. It was supposed to be one and done but she fell in love with triathlons.
Challenges and Opportunity
Competing in extreme triathlon takes Olivia to remote and demanding race environments, where travel, logistics and specialist equipment create significant financial pressure. As she works towards becoming the first US professional triathlete to specialise in extreme triathlon, these barriers can limit access to the very races that define success in the sport.
What makes Olivia’s journey uniquely compelling is the combination of performance and purpose. Racing in honour of her late father while raising awareness and funds for brain cancer, she connects deeply with both endurance sport audiences and communities driven by cause. Alongside this, her work coaching youth athletes reinforces her commitment to helping others believe in their potential — something she had to discover for herself.
Supporting Olivia is an opportunity to back a pioneering athlete in a growing and visually striking discipline, while aligning with a story of self-belief, discovery and meaningful impact. With the right support, she can continue to compete globally, build momentum in extreme triathlon and inspire the next generation to chase goals others may not yet see.
